Paediatric Cardiology Consultation
Paediatric cardiology consultation involves assessment of the child with physical examination and clinic based cardiac tests to evaluate the child’s cardiac symptoms and to rule out or rule in cardiac origin of the symptoms.
A paediatric cardiac consultation with Dr Moray involves an echocardiogram, an electrocardiogram [ECG] (as indicated) and a physical examination. Need for further tests like Holter monitor, exercise stress tests, cardiac MRI etc. will be determined during the consultation. There will be an in-depth discussion of the child’s cardiac symptoms and medical history including relevant family medical history. The results of the echocardiogram and ECG are immediately available and will be discussed during the same consultation.
